Whether you want to dine in or carry out, there are some of us who simply aren’t into cooking our own Christmas dinner. Fortunately, there are plenty of options available, and boy, do they all sound appropriately festive and fantastically delicious. Read on for the tantalizing scoop on where you can fill your belly come Christmas Eve or Day.

🍽️ 67 Biltmore Eatery & Catering (67 Biltmore Ave.)

Whether you want a bite or feast, you can find it here. Order soups, salads, sides, and mains (like lasagna + casseroles) and a slew of sweets, including cookies, bars, and slices or whole pies by noon the day before you want it, and it will be available for pick up + curbside delivery Mon. – Fri. from 1p.m. - 4p.m. Orders over $50 are also available for porch drop delivery service Mon. – Fri. 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. (a delivery fee will apply). Also cool? Add a bottle of vino or three onto your order when you call Asheville Wine Market by 12:30 p.m.

🍽️ Chef Andreas Guenthner

The former Chef de Cuisine at Posana, Chef Andreas has launched a new biz and is offering a three-course German-inspired Christmas dinner for $50 per person. The meal includes roasted pumpkin soup, sauerbraten (beef slow cooked and marinated for up to a week), spätzle (dumplings), apple-braised red cabbage, collard greens, and Bavarian cream for dessert. Email here to order through Sun., Dec. 20.

🍽️ Earth Fare (66 Westgate Pkwy.)

Choose from complete, ready-to-heat turkey + vegan dinners for two to eight people, or grab entrees like turkey, ham, or hazelnut roast en croute, sides, dinner rolls, pies, cakes + more a la carte. The deadline to order is Mon., Dec. 21 and pickup starts Tues., Dec. 22.

🍽️ Elements Real Food (233 S. Liberty St.)

Do you dream of dessert while you’re eating your meal? Us too, which is why we’re eyeballing the vegan holiday cheesecakes from Elements Real Food. Choose from gingerbread with candied pecans, golden milk on chocolate almond crust, spicy chai on carrot cake crust, chocolate peppermint, or cranberry jam + eggnog with candied walnuts. Order by Dec. 20 to get your holiday nosh on.

🍽️ Everyday Gourmet (207 Weaverville Rd.)

Hit up locally owned catering spot Everyday Gourmet for a variety of heat + eat meals and al la carte treats for everyone from your carnivores to vegans. Choose from their drool-worthy party bundles and order by Dec. 16 or 23, when you can either pick them up (through Weds., Dec. 23 from 3-6 p.m.) or, if you’re within a 10-mile radius of their store, you can get it delivered to your door for an additional charge.

🍽️ Hemingway’s Cuba (15 Page Ave. 4th Floor)

Stop into Hemingway’s Cuba for Christmas dinner from 12-8 p.m., where in addition to their regular menu, they’ll also be serving two holiday specials: slow-roasted pork stuffed with chorizo and Cuban style sea bass. Reserve your table here.

🍽️ Isa’s French Bistro (1 Battery Park Ave.)

Want your meal to have some je ne sais pas? From noon to 8 p.m., Isa’s will be cranking out a three-course prix fixe dinner for $65 per person with an optional wine pairing for $25 per person. Entree options include Brasstown beef filet, seared scallops, or sausage a la king. Make your reservation here.

🍽️ New Stock (175 Clingman Ave.)

The brains behind New Stock, Ashley Capps — former pastry chef for Buxton Hall BBQ and 2019 semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Pastry Chef award — is whipping up 32 oz. batches of eggnog available for pickup on Dec. 21 and 22. The silky drink will feature hints of vanilla, nutmeg, maple syrup, bay, cinnamon, and sorghum. They’ll come without booze so you can add it if you want it. 🍽️ OWL Bakery (295 Haywood Rd.)

In addition to the cakes + fresh loaves of bread you love from OWL, this Christmas you can nosh on handmade pasta for two for $40. Enjoy tortellini stuffed with heirloom squash + ricotta tortellini with an arugula pesto. The meal also includes a bottle of red or white wine and a baguette with dipping oil and salad dressing (make the salad yourselves). Order now through 6 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 22 and pickup on Thurs., Dec. 24 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

🍽️ Plant (165 Merrimon Ave.)

For vegans + plant-based eaters who want to leave the cooking to someone else, Plant is offering a vegan Italian takeout feast. The meal includes lasagna (with housemade meat-free sausage), salad, spiked blondies, and a bottle of wine. Place your order through Sat., Dec. 19 for pickup on Weds., Dec. 23 to make your holiday merry + bright.

🍽️ RendezVous (184 New Haw Creek Rd.)

Order now through 5 p.m. Mon., Dec. 21 and pick up a Christmas Eve to-o meal from RendezVous on Thurs., Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All you’ll have to do is reheat + eat. For $55 per person, you can enjoy gumbo with pheasant, foie gras, and a dark roux, a 12 oz. bone-in herb-encrusted prime rib with garlic yukon potato puree, Brussels sprouts, and marchand de vin (a.k.a. French steak sauce), and pecan pie with Fleur de sel and chocolate ganache.

🍽️ Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack (1455 Patton Ave. + 3749 Sweeten Creek Rd.)

Rocky’s is offering up its Southern-infused mains + sides, including pot pies, whole rotisserie chickens, mac and cheese, casseroles + their oh-so-fabulous corn pudding. Browse the full menu + order online here through this Sun. at 9 p.m. Pick up your dishes on Wed., Dec. 23 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. or Thurs., Dec. 24 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Food will be served cold + ready to reheat.

🍽️ Sunny Point Cafe (626 Haywood Rd.)

Leave it to Sunny Point to offer a Christmas Brunch. Get a reheatable brunch for six folks for $90, including bacon, egg + cheese pie, cream cheese coffee cake, fresh fruit, ½ lb. of Guatemalan coffee beans, and a mega mimosa kit with bubbly and fresh OJ. Place your order here by Mon., Dec. 21 and pick up from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 23.

🍽️ Zia Taqueria (521 Haywood Rd.)

If enchiladas are what you’re craving come Christmas, you’re in luck. Zia Taqueria is offering take + bake Christmas-style enchilada family meals for curbside pickup for $39.99. Choose from barbacoa (spiced + braised beef), chicken, carnitas (slow cooked pork), or cauliflower and tack on two sides (we’re particularly fond of the borracho beans and Mexi slaw) and you’ll be set.
