Many businesses come and go, just like the seasons here in Asheville. There always seems to be a new shop that opens just around the corner, and it can be hard to keep track of all the new faces coming to town. That’s why we got the inside scoop on the whopping 31 new businesses that are #NowOpen or #ComingSoon to town, from tarot shops + meat emporiums to brewery expansions, bookstore + more. We recommend checking out the full list, and then making some dates with your buds to check ‘em all out.

📖 Bagatelle Books, 428 C, Haywood Rd.

Specializes in buying + selling used rare books.

🥙 Bargello, 7 Patton Ave.

Located inside the new Hotel Arras, this restaurant focuses on Mediterranean food that has been locally sourced.

🍺 Burial Forestry Camp, 10 Shady Oak Dr.

The two-acre property features a production brewery, corporate offices + multiple barrel-aging facilities. The latest addition is the restaurant, which features an Appalchian-raised menu that will cater to both fine + casual dining, courtesy of Chef Brian Canipelli of Cucina 24 fame.

🥃 District 42, 7 Patton Ave.

Also inside the new Hotel Arras, this bar and lounge is open features shareable plates + craft cocktails.

🍻 The Dweller, 10 N. Market St.

Green Man’s latest venture is a new taproom with 12 of the brewery’s beers on top (including some rare offerings), plus wine + beer to go.

🍵 High Climate Tea, 12 S. Lexington Ave.

Naturally grown + traditional Chinese tea and side dishes. Teaware and ceramics also available for sale.

🏨 Hotel Arras, 7 Patton Ave.

New boutique-style hotel in the old BB&T building. Home to District 42 + Bargello.

🥩 LongHorn Steakhouse, 560 Airport Rd.

The second location to open in Asheville. This Atlanta-based steakhouse is known for their big portions.

Handcrafted bubble tea, with a variety of flavors like the popular cheese tea.

🍖 New York Butcher Shoppe, 200 Julian Shoals Dr.

Speciality meats, hand-cut steaks, prepared meals, sides, fresh salads, desserts, wine + more.

🖥 Nomadic Software, 56 Ravenscroft Dr.

Web design, digital marketing, and custom software consultancy.

☕️ Olarie, 45 S. French Broad Ave.

Multi-roaster coffee place with blazing fast internet (100Mbps up and down). Located in the same building as Grail Moviehouse + Hatchworks.

🌮 One Stop’s new kitchen, 55 College St.

Serves mexican cuisine like tacos + nachos along with burgers and gooey grilled cheese sandwiches. Located in Asheville Music Hall.

🐔 Popeyes, 422 Airport Rd.

Home of the infamous chicken sandwich. Asheville residents will have to wait till the beginning of November to try one.

🍦 Psych Ice Cream Bar, 870 Merrimon Ave.

Ice cream shop, bar + restaurant. Serves food from all over the world, plus hard (a.k.a. boozy) milkshakes.

🍍 RosaBees, 27 Foundy St.

Hawaiian small plates, craft cocktails + full desert menu. Owned by Melissa Gray of Cakes by Gray fame.

💇‍♀️ Sola Studios South AVL, 1636 Hendersonville Road

Hair studio that allows workers to schedule their own hours and control the prices for their services + products.

🥃 Storm Rhum Bar, 125 S. Lexington Ave. (note change in ownership)

Now owned by Jay Medford of the Underground Cafe and DoughP Doughnuts. Modern American bistro food + old-school cocktails.

🌻 Sunflower Diner, 771 Haywood Rd.

Inside the West Village Market and Deli. Focus on vegan breakfast + lunch food.

🍲 Typhoon Noodle, 1834 Hendersonville Rd.

Authentic Szechuan style food and noodles.

🎭 Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, 18 Biltmore Ave.

Includes the Diana Wortham Theatre, Tina McGuire Theatre and Henry LaBrun Studio. Hosts music, theater + dance acts year-round.

🎨 Art Garden, 191 Lyman St.

A new gallery, studio space + community center created by artist who have been in the Asheville scene for over 10 years. Will also serve as a gathering place for intentional activism and education. Donate to their GoFundMe here.

🖌 Asheville Art Museum, 2 South Pack Square.

Newly renovated, complete with the newly constructed North Wing. Opens Nov. 14.

🍺 The Bier Haus, 34 S. Lexington Ave.

New multi-story project with a roof deck and rooftop pool. Serves beer + more.

Center for Craft, 67 Broadway St.

Reopens Nov. 16. Newly constructed, 7,000-square-foot National Craft Innovation Hub.

🦀 Crab Du Jour, 115 Tunnel Rd.

Homestyle seafood. If fish isn’t your thing, they also have Cajun rice, chicken tenders + more.

🍺 DSSOLVR, 63 N. Lexington Ave.

The latest brewery to open in downtown Asheville courtesy of Vince Tursi, former brewers at Burial Beer Co.

S&W Market, 56 Patton Ave.

Opens Spring 2020 in the S&W building. Highland Brewing will manage the beer selection and Meherwan Irani of Chai Pani will be in charge of food selection.

🍔 H&F Burger, 77 Biltmore Ave.

First store to open outside of Atlanta. Features a wide variety of burgers.

🐟 Jettie Rae’s, 144 Riverside Dr.

Two-story restaurant with inside and outside seating options right on the French Broad River. Specializes in all types of seafood. Check out our piece on it here.

Coffee shop with robots, glass roses infused with uranium ore + more. . Fractals and coffee shop 10th Muse are currently joining forces to open Fabled Coffee, a food truck that will be parked in West Asheville.

Mojo Kitchen, 55 College St.

Formally inside One Stop at Asheville Music Hall. Owners wanted to focus on Black Bear BBQ.

Bryson City brewery complete with a full menu of food.
