Editor Laura here. This weekend, we celebrate the legacy of former Ashevillian Zelda Fitzgerald with a roster of events, including everything from workshops and panels to tarot card readings. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Last, but certainly not least fabulous, is the Oscars! The Grail Moviehouse is going all out this Sunday evening with a red carpet celebration and showing — there will be “paparrazzi,” popcorn, and presumably plenty of fabulous outfits.
Keep reading for even more local happenings, from seed workshops to Tina & Her Pony’s album release party.

Albuquerque is flanked on the city’s east side by The Sandia Mountains, which rise to more than 10,600 feet in elevation. Albuquerque sunsets are famous for their watermelon pink color in front of the soft purple-colored mountains.
