☀️ Shining a light on solar energy

Why go solar? Shining a light on the perks of renewable energy.

Presented by an AVLtoday Partner

In the event that your PV system over-generates energy (hello, AVL summers) then the energy will flow onto the utility grid for your neighbors and nearby schools + businesses to utilize, and will be credited to your monthly utility bill. | Photo provided by SolFarm Solar Co.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last decade, you likely know what solar power is (pun intended).

Solar photovoltaics (PV) is the fastest growing renewable energy technology. But do you know just how it works? Ground or roof-mounted modules with photovoltaic cells convert the sun’s energy into usable electricity for your home or business.

SolFarm Solar Co.'s PV modules have warranties up to 25 years (read: will last decades).

So, why solar?

While electricity rates continue to rise, your system will continue to produce energy using free photons.

As a homeowner, solar can:
  • Save you money by producing your own energy
  • Increase the value of your home
  • Reduce your carbon footprint
  • Let you charge your EV at home
Bonus: If you’re a business owner, your biz can go solar, too. Upgrading to solar can help:
  • Reduce your business’ energy bills
  • Hedge rising operating costs
  • Boost your brand
  • Take action on “going green”
SolFarm Solar Co.is a trusted local solar energy installer with a great track record.

SolFarm works with local commercial clients to establish the design criteria for each system, evaluate the energy efficiency of each business to identify ways to reduce electrical load, and share any available rebates + incentives.

Good for the environment, good for your wallet

Residential, non-profit, and commercial solar customers in every state of the US are now eligible for a federal ITC (Investment Tax Credit).

The exact credit amount depends on the customer type + size of the system, but residential customers are eligible for up to 30%, while commercial systems have access to an additional 10% (40% total) for installing American-made equipment.
