The Fourth of July is right around the corner, so let us help you plan your weekend festivities with three firework displays in and around Asheville.
Ingles Independence Day Celebration | Tuesday, July 4 | 12-10 p.m. | Pack Square Park, Asheville | Free | The event starts with The Ultimate Air Dogs from 12-4 p.m as the pups compete to see who can jump the furthest. Then, kick back in your lawn chairs and enjoy food and beverage vendors and live music, starting at 4:30 p.m. The firework extravaganza pops off at 9:30 p.m. to round out the celebrations.
Lake Julian Fireworks | Tuesday, July 4 | 8 a.m.-10 p.m. | Lake Julian Park, 37 Lake Julian Rd., Arden | Free | Spend the day enjoying fishing, picnic areas, disc golf, outdoor games, and more before the fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m. Cars aren’t allowed in the park, so shuttles from Estes Elementary School to the park will be available.
4th of July Fireworks | Tuesday, July 4 | 6-10 p.m. | Lookout Brewing Company, 103 S. Ridgeway Ave., Black Mountain | Free | Grab your friends to compete in Team Trivia before going to the back of the building to watch fireworks.

The US Forest Service is seeking public feedback on proposed fee increases for popular recreation spots in Pisgah National Forest. A $5 admission fee is proposed for riders using the Pisgah Complex Mountain Bike and Horse Trail System, in addition to a $30 annual pass option. Provide your feedback before August 22.
