• After the County’s current trash and recycling services provider, Waste Pro, sought a contract extension including price increases, Buncombe County Commissioners voted to put the services out to bid at its Tuesday, Nov. 21 meeting. Commissioners will review bids and make a decision in the next four to five months.

• You can now pick up a bottle of Ninja Spirits vodka in Asheville ABC stores. The company, founded by Little Jumbo co-owner Chall Gray and Asheville Brewing Co. President Mike Rangel, also has plans to open a distillery at 66 Asheland Ave. We’ll cheers to that.
