Time to get out and eat local. Asheville Restaurant Week is back tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Monday, Jan. 22. More than 50 restaurants all over the city will be joining the culinary celebration with their own special menus and creative offerings.

There’s a lot on the table for this week, so we’re going to dish about just a few of our favorite meals and deals.

Capella on 9, 10 Broadway St., floor 9 | Special cocktails + tapas
If you’re not feeling a whole meal, you can try out a menu of cocktails and tapas specials for a taste of drinks like the Blue Pear Cosmo and dishes like tuna tataki.

Copper Crown, 1011 Tunnel Rd. | Four courses for $45
Our mouths are already watering over offerings like truffled cauliflower soup, slow-roasted pork shoulder, and chocolate-coconut panna cotta.

Gemelli, 70 Westgate Pkwy. | Three courses for $40
Even though the Italian spot is more casual, the flavors are elevated — the special menu includes dishes like truffle mushroom risotto and panko-fried calamari.

Golden Hour, 95 Roberts St. | Three courses for $45
A perfect excuse to try the new spot — choose from appetizers like deviled blue crab, entrees like wood-fired chicken, and sweets like chocolate chess pie.

Laughing Seed, 40 Wall St. | Three-course lunch for $25 or dinner for $35
The veggies take center stage on this menu with grilled napa cabbage as a starter and Kung Pao oyster mushroom stir fry as the main dish.

The Market Place, 20 Wall St. | Three courses for $45
The tasting menu offers plenty of choices, but we’ve got our eye on the pan-roasted sunburst trout, paired with heirloom midland peas, spinach, and sunchoke chips.

Ukiah Japanese Smokehouse, 121 Biltmore Ave. | $38 per person
Dine on family-style dishes like salmon sashimi with wasabi soy broth and smoked Carolina pork shoulder with yuzu pickles.

This is only the start. Check out the full lineup of participating restaurants + specials below. Reservations are recommended for the restaurants that accept them.

From the editor
As we mark the holiday today, this is a good time to look back at the Asheville Parks and Recreation Department’s reflection on Martin Luther King Jr. Park. You’ll learn about the work of local organizations, including the East End/Valley Street neighborhood, and a community-guided effort that help bring the park to life — in a process that took almost 15 years.
