Spring is right around the corner, and per reader requests, we’re helping all the green thumbs out there get a head start on planning their gardens.

We rounded up 10 plant nurseries and garden centers that’ll knock your stalks off with a selection of plants, flowers, and veggies galore — plus a few indoor plant shops for those who don’t want to bother with rakes and raised beds.

Last night, the polls closed on NC’s 2024 Primary Election. In Buncombe County, more than 59,000 people voted, with more than 26,000 people taking advantage of early voting and upwards of 1,400 absentee ballots received.

Locally, candidacy for Asheville City Council, Buncombe County Commission, and Buncombe County Clerk of Superior Court were up for grabs. See how the local results stacked up. Plus, see the unofficial statewide election results reported by the NC State Board of Elections.
