Who’s ready for Spring Break? Our City Editors took Friday off to spend more time out and about in the Land of the Sky — Grace grabbed a Girl Scout latte from Summit Coffee and Molly took her dog over to the French Broad River Greenway for some sunshine (even though all they found was rain).

Today’s newsletter is designed to help you enjoy longer days in Asheville — take a look at a few of our favorite al fresco eateries, area camping spots for an adventure during good weather, family-friendly activities, recommended hiking trails, and our guide to places to work outside.

From the editor
Whenever I find myself with any time off, my first instinct is always to try a new restaurant. Lingering over delicious dishes and drinks feels nearly as restful as lying face down on the couch (my other day-off activity). So Eater Carolinas’ sharing of the “12 Hottest Restaurants in Asheville Right Now, March 2024" was perfectly timed with this little spring break. Time to get off the couch and dig in.
