Shout out your favorite local spots
Shout out your favorite Asheville small businesses
Which local businesses do you love? | Photo by AVLtoday
One of our favorite things about Asheville is how much it supports its small businesses. National Small Business Week takes place now through Saturday, May 4, and we’re looking to you to help us celebrate the businesses you love most.
How can you show your appreciation? It’s easy. Just fill out this three-question survey telling us your favorite small business and what makes it special.
We’ll start:
City Editor Molly loves stocking up on vintage duds + fabulous finds at rEvolve Mercantile.
City Editor Grace loves enjoying a weekend meal at Cassia — paired with a brew from Cellarest Beer Project, of course.
Start thinking of those locally owned eateries, top spots for retail therapy, and service providers who go above + beyond. We’ll feature some of your shout outs during National Small Business Week, so keep ‘em coming.
A lightweight spring jacket that won’t overheat you during transitional spring months. We’re loving every floral pattern of this women’s quilted jacket and the cut of this men’s cotton bomber jacket.
As we barrel into May (hard to believe that’s already happening), The Whale West Asheville is supporting 12 Baskets Cafe as its nonprofit of the month. Throughout the month, you can round up your tab to support Asheville Poverty Initiative and its programs that build community and promote economic justice. You can also stop by this Friday, May 3 for a fundraiser party with community art, trivia, and DJ Steven Jackson.
