These day camps are a hot ticket after Newsweek named them among America’s Best Summer Camps for 2024 — but there are still a handful of spots for the Summer Adventure Camp Exploration Program, Kolo Flow Bike Park Summer Camp, and Kolo Bike Park Summer Kiddie Camp.
These summer camps hit the right note.

There’s something for young musicians of all skill levels, whether your kid wants to spend the week jamming in a rock band, practicing their ukulele skills, or finding their voice. Note: Some camps require you to bring your own instrument.

Asheville Community Theatre’s camps are suited to seasoned young actors or first-timers. And if your kid prefers to be behind the scenes, there’s also a master class in filmmaking and screenwriting.

Style and sustainability come together at Clad
Check out the seriously stylish selection. | Photos via Clad
Next time you step into Ware to refill your essentials, you’ll find a colorful new selection to explore. Clad has joined the party inside 797 Haywood Rd., offering sustainably made clothing and intentionally crafted home goods.
Owner Megan Authement says that previous work in a fast fashion environment inspired her to seek more sustainable options. “I want people to come here and leave with something they’re constantly reaching for both today and five years from now,” Authement shares.
When you think of sustainable clothing, you might think boxy fits and earth tones, but Clad has something else in mind. Authement says her focus is “providing unique, colorful patterned pieces in addition to your everyday solid basics”
Beyond the clothes, you can find jewelry, accessories, home decor, and gifts (like this adorable pizza-themed puzzle made from recycled paper board).
Check out what’s in store Wednesdays through Mondays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Buy
Drunk Girl Art Prints. Celebrate National Wine Day with a new piece of wall art for your bar cart.
When I was little, Lucky Charms were a special treat. But now that I’m an adult, I can have them whenever I want — like in my coffee. I have my eye on the decadent new Lucky & Charmed iced latte from Summit Coffee’s summer menu, topped with blueberry cold foam and Lucky Charm marshmallows.
