With eight weeks of programming, there’s plenty for kids to explore, like space, geology, dinosaurs, and more. Bonus: For an additional fee, you can get extended care until 5 p.m.

Is your kid obsessed with Minecraft? This center offers game-based learning camps to help your gamer delve into math, engineering, and design by playing their favorite game.

Community

Tonight is the first opportunity for residents to provide the city with input on how to spend the $225 million Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery. There will be five more public meetings, with the next one on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Find meeting details and register to attend.

French Broad River Brewing is on track to reopen at its Fairview Road location this spring after suffering severe damage from Helene. The brewery’s team tentatively plans to begin brewing in-house starting mid-March and then opening two weeks after. (Asheville Citizen-Times)

North Carolina Glass Center’s annual BIPOC Artist-In-Residence program begins soon. Kimberly Bañes Muth will spend six weeks exploring new abstract techniques through her work. Stop by the Glass Center’s RAD or Black Mountain locations to meet Muth and participate in community events.
