It’s not smoke and mirrors — the famed Mirror Hotel in Marshall is up for sale. Listed for $4.4 million, the next owner of the property will scoop up 50 acres, the six existing cabins, and the option to build 12 more. But if you plan to stay in one of the “invisible” cabins, the sale won’t affect your stay. (Asheville Citizen-Times)

Andrew Montrie, the artist behind Asheville Art in the Park, is collaborating with the city to create a space for art vendors in the empty lot across from Harrah’s Cherokee Center, similar to the markets held there for Billy Strings’ run of shows. The program begins Saturday, Aug. 23. (WLOS)
