At 61, Prevette recently graduated from Asheville’s Galen College with a nursing degree, enabling her to become an RN. “It’s never too late to follow your calling or your dreams.”

Do smaller homes house happier people? Studies show that moving into a bigger home doesn’t always boost life satisfaction — sometimes it does the opposite. Case in point: This newly listed three-bedroom, one-bath contemporary cottage proves that less can be more. (Washington Post)

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Grace

How about a fun history fact to round us out? On January 26, 1932, a New York doctor subverted prohibition laws to benefit visiting British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The physician wrote a letter claiming Churchill’s recovery from an accident “necessitates the use of alcoholic spirits, especially at mealtimes.” No doctor’s note needed here — explore some of our favorite spots to grab a drink in Asheville.
