1 Million Cups Spotlight: John Frey, HP

John Frey, Senior Technologist, IT Efficiency and Sustainability at Hewlett Packard Enterprise was last week’s 1 Million Cups Asheville guest speaker. Frey was also a keynote speaker for ClimateCon due to his sustainability + business leadership.

He discussed the importance of using business language over climate language, such as “green” or “eco” to avoid “greenwashing,” but to instead focus on catalytic collaboration – when individuals and organizations cross lines to work together, that collaborative culture works to catalyze efforts far beyond even their own projects.

In his words: “When you win their hearts and minds, then your customer will be with you forever.”

1 Million Cups Asheville hosts keynote speakers during their meetings to educate, empower + connect entrepreneurs with their communities every Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Asheville Social Hall. It’s free + open to the public.
