Have you ever been to the Asheville Area Arts Council (AAAC)’s Color Ball? Each event features simultaneous soirees across our city and serves as a colorful celebration of AVL’s thriving arts scene.

This year, the AAAC Ruby Ball is happening Saturday, Sept. 21. 💃 600+ patrons of the arts are expected to don their most festive ruby jewel tones and amble from one of the four total parties to the next – each at different venues across South Slope and River Arts District and bejeweled in a unique theme with lavish decor + live, local entertainment.

The VIP Party | 5-7 p.m. | AAAC Refinery Creator Space (South Slope)

  • Exclusive party ft. a ruby carpet, vocal stylings of Kat Williams, bites by Strada Italiano, art installation-filled atmosphere + private VIP trolley

RB Squared | 7-9:30 p.m. | Eco Depot Marketplace (River Arts District)

  • Soul and R&B-themed event in the historic Glen Rock Hotel building, ft. tunes by WestSound, performances by Asheville Contemporary Dance Theatre, bites + cocktails

The Cotton Club Cuban Cabaret | 7-9:30 p.m. | Asheville Cotton Mill Studios (River Arts District)

  • Dark and sultry soiree co-hosted by Asheville Cotton Mill Studios, District Wine Bar, and Smoky Park Supper Club, ft. Latin dance beats + live entertainment

The Main Event: Ruby Review | 9:30 p.m.-midnight | The Funkatorium (South Slope)

  • The ultimate party at Funkatorium’s new event space, celebrating the Color Ball’s history with performances from Zabumba, Juan Holladay, Get Right Band + local dancers
