Morning Asheville, especially to all the caffiends out there. Perhaps you’ve noticed that Asheville’s coffee scene has been buzzing with new additions as of late?

On the cafe front, we’ve welcomed gorgeous spots like Rowan Coffee, Farewell, Pollen, and Gallivant. Plus, micro-roasters like South Slope Coffee and Cooperative Coffee Roasters have also joined the scene — not to mention, there’s been a notable increase in coffee cocktails (looking at you, espresso martini), which are offered at spots like Citizen Vinyl and The Times Bar & Coffee Shop.

With all these coffee-fueled developments, we think it’s high time we put together a comprehensive guide of all that Asheville’s coffee scene has to offer. But we don’t want to do it without you, readers.

So we’re asking you to help us create an unofficial “coffee trail” that includes everything Ashevilleans need to know. We’re talking best affogato, espresso, pour over, cold brew, cocktail, latte, local beans, and beyond.

We want this guide to be a way for newcomers to experience our coffee scene or even for the most seasoned barista to step out of their normal caffeinated habits.

What must we include in our coffee guide? We want your input on categories, cafes, roasters, and other key intel.

Let us know via email.
