For the fans of the gothic author Edgar Allan Poe (or the folks who love a themed outing), we’re sharing an event that has us raven.

The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy pop-up is coming to The Venue, located at 21 N. Market St., from Thursday, Aug. 15 through Saturday, Aug. 17.

During the 90-minute experience, you’ll hear four stories — “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Raven,” “The Masque of Red Death,” and “The Black Cat” — retold and re-imagined by Poe historians, while you sip on four cocktails inspired by each of the tales.

Interested in seeing Poe’s works brought to life? Grab your tickets while you still can — prices range from $48 to $62, depending on date and time.
