We’re eagerly anticipating our order from Jersey South Bagel Co. this Saturday.

We may not boast the number of bagel shops that New York City does, but Asheville has its gems. If you’re looking to get that crispy-on-the-outside, chewy-on-the-inside, cream-cheese-smothered, perfectly golden fix — keep drooling er, we mean reading.

Jersey South Bagel Co.
After launching this March, the New Jersey-style shop rolls, boils, and bakes fresh bagels available for pickup or delivery. Just head over to Instagram to place your order of flavors like everything, sesame, and jalapeno cheddar.

Asheville Bagel Co.
Bagels from this family biz are a hot commodity — pre-orders are full for April, but stay updated on its Instagram page to see when the May pre-order form comes out so you can secure flavors like poppyseed and cinnamon sugar crackle top.

Nosh AVL
Place your order online to pick up small-batch, naturally leavened bagels, made with locally milled organic flours. Or you can head to the Weaverville Tailgate Market every other Wednesday (like today, April 3) this spring to take some home.

Honey Badger Bakes
You’re going to want to secure the six-pack whenever you catch this baker at a local market. You can find them at the East Asheville Tailgate Market and Asheville City Market, but be sure to follow along on Instagram to be in the know about fun pop-ups and collaborations.

Mother
Two words: sourdough bagels. Just be sure to pay a visit early because these chewy-yet-tender treats will sell out fast.

Geraldine’s Bakery
Opt for a breakfast sandwich or a classic bagel + schmear from this neighborhood bakery — and then grab a few extra treats from the pastry case for good measure.

City Bakery
Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something a little more dressed up (like the Garden Bagel with garlic herb cream cheese, spinach, cucumbers, sprouts, and red onion), these thick and fluffy bagels have you covered.

The West End Bakery
This West Asheville spot serves up freshly boiled and baked crusty bagels. Pro tip: Stock up with a four pack.
