Beer City is hopping. Nine Mile has announced the launch of Nine Mile Brewing with the release of four craft beers. The restaurant’s new venture is spearheaded by head chef + co-owner Aaron Thomas and head brewer Evan Boose, who designed the beers to complement the Caribbean fusion menu.
The brewery is headquartered at the original Montford spot (233 Montford Ave.), but you can get a glass of its Shale Pile Stout, Isabella Golden Ale, Montford IPA, and Jose Llamas Mexican Lager at any of Nine Mile’s three locations. The Isabella Golden Ale is also on tap at Strada and Creekside Taphouse. Although still in the works, a brown ale, a Czech-style pilsner, and even seltzers are soon to come.
And since this sort of undertaking warrants celebration, the Nine Mile team will be hosting an official launch at the brewery on Wednesday, Feb. 28 starting at 4 p.m., where the first 100 guests will get a limited edition pint glass.
