Neng Jr.'s is a James Beard finalist for Best New Restaurant

Since opening in July 2022, Neng Jr.'s has graced publications like Bon Appetit and Esquire as one of the best newcomers to the culinary scene. Now, the Filipinx-Southern eatery can also add James Beard finalist to its list of accolades.

On Wednesday, March 29, the James Beard Foundation announced Neng Jr.'s as a finalist for the 2023 Best New Restaurant award. It’s the only restaurant in Asheville to be named as finalist this year, though Josiah McGaughey of Vivian did receive a nod as a semifinalist for Best Chefs - Southeast.
