Last week, we played Rachel Ray for a day, recreating our own “episode” of her old Food Network show "$40 a Day,” where she grabs three meals for $40. After sharing our day of delicious eats, we wanted to know which spots you would visit to try the challenge. Here’s what some of you said:
“Cinnamon and sesame donut and 12 oz drip coffee at Hole for $6.86 with 20% tip. Lunch at Taco Billy — Kirb Service and Mama’s Favorite for $15.10 with tip. Then dinner at Botiwalla — Desi Salad with Chicken Tikka for $15.40 with tip, bringing the total to $37.36!” — Liz B.
“Simple Cafe breakfast burrito, Newstock Pantry seasonal sandwich, Gan Shan rice bowl” — Trisha R.
“Start at Taco Billy. Breakfast is usually under $10 with coffee. Then lunch at Baba Nahm. That would bring the day’s total to approximately $23. For dinner, Rocky’s Hot Chicken for their chicken pot pie. With a beverage, it would bring us to right around $40. Done!” — Sandy K.
