Grove Arcade will soon light up with holiday cheer. The historic shopping plaza will host its annual Holiday Tree Lighting Block Party on Saturday, Nov. 29 from 12 to 9 p.m. Expect local vendors, live jazz, pop-up bars, and performances from the Asheville Ballet.

The Climate Prediction Center’s latest seasonal outlook is in: Asheville can expect a warmer and drier winter than usual. Now through January, temperatures are predicted to trend above average, while rainfall is expected to stay below normal. Translation: Patio season might stick around a bit longer this year.
