Peer into your crystal ball.

Picture this: It’s 2019. You sit down in front of your computer with your morning coffee. You open up AVLtoday – what headlines do you see?

In the spirit of the New Year, we’re asking you: What do you predict for Asheville’s future in 2019? We want you to peer into your crystal ball and tell us, and we’ll publish your predictions in our newsletter on New Year’s Eve.

Think: Development, transportation, entertainment and other positive city changes. Get creative, but stay realistic… -ish.

To get the crystal ball warmed up, here are a few of our readers’ ideas:

🔮 Lucy F. thinks, “A Chinese restaurant within walking distance of Downtown Asheville, and one that delivers too!”

🔮 @doggiedayeveryday thinks, “Real estate will drop!!”

🔮 @AccomplishedTourist thinks “Asheville will ban single use plastic bags”

Each of our team members had a different big prediction for Asheville in 2019. Which one of our “headlines” do you think you will actually see next year?

  1. Asheville’s Greenways will expand – so will my running routes.
  2. Hotel Arras will *finally* be finished + the green wrap will be taken down.
  3. Minimum of 3 more breweries.
  4. East Asheville will blow up and see new businesses this year.
  5. Dave Grohl moves to Asheville: “I fell in love at the Christmas Jam.”

Happy fortune telling,
