Game on. The Southern Conference announced that it will host the 2024 Ingles Southern Conference Volleyball Championship at Harrah’s Cherokee Center, from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 24 — the first time in the conference’s history that the tournament will be held in a neutral location. Tickets are on sale now, but mark your 2025 and 2026 calendars too. The championship will make Harrah’s its home for three years in a row.

But the championship isn’t the only exciting volleyball-related news in Asheville. The weekend of Saturday, July 20, Highland Brewing Co. is hosting Pro Volleyball Weekend, welcoming professional players (and some former US Olympians) for clinics and matches.

You can hone your skills with defensive and offensive clinics or see the pros, Phil Dalhausser, DJ Klasnic, Kylie Deberg, Toni Rodriguez, Bill Kolinske, and Chase Frishman, face off in exhibition matches. The Weekend Sky Pass earns you access to all the events — prices vary for clinics, and exhibition game tickets are $10.
