Rihanna’s concert — we mean Super Bowl LVII — is this Sunday, Feb. 12 and we’re ready to watch the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs (hey, KCtoday 👋) battle it out for the trophy. Plan ahead with these local food, drink, and watch party recommendations.
Huddle up for these watch parties
- The Big Game Watch Party at Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ kicks off at 6:30 p.m., with $6 margaritas and mules, $4 hard seltzers, and $1 off craft beer drafts all day. There will also be wings and rib specials for the game.
- DSSOLVR is breaking out its super 150-inch projector, plus a fleet of brand-new TVs, for this year’s game. Bonus: Master BBQ will also be there serving up Filipino eats (think: meat skewers and more) to pair with ice cold beer.
- Bring your favorite dip to share at Lookout Brewing’s watch party in Black Mountain.
- Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co. is hosting a free watch party at its 675 Merrimon Ave. location — just be sure to stop by and snag a wrist band in advance.
- Head over to Highland Brewing Co. for pitcher specials and bingo from 6:30-10:30 p.m.
Special food deals
- Buxton Hall Barbecue is taking orders for wings, baby back ribs, pulled pork, pimento cheese, buffalo chicken dip — and even a whole smoked turducken. Place your order today, Feb. 10 by 12 p.m. for a game-day pickup.
- Pie.Zaa is offering buy one pizza, get one half off for in-person or online orders on the day of the game.
- Farm Burger has created two specialty burgers to represent each team: The “Spiendini” for Kansas City and “The Whiz” for Philadelphia. They’ll both be available on game day for $10 apiece.
- Okay, technically this is the day before the Super Bowl — but we still recommend stopping by S&W Market for a plate of Chef Santiago Vargas’ award-winning wings, available at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 until sold out.
