Pro-tip: This Passport can save you $600 at restaurants

If you are a fan of eating out in Asheville, (but who isn’t?), we have a pro-tip for you: The AIR Passport.

Basically, it’s a coupon book (in a laminated pouch) with BOGO meals + other deals at 45 local independent restaurants such as Twisted Laurel, Chai Pani, Luella’s Bar-B-Que + more. The Passport itself costs $65 but holds more than a $600 value according to Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR). (Mother’s day gift, anyone?) They can be purchased online or at Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

DYK: AIR began in 2003 with four restaurant owners as an organization that could share tips + lessons from their experiences in the Asheville restaurant community.

Today, AIR is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization which has about 140 members who meet for educational programs, collaborate, and work to make Asheville a more sustainable and restaurant-friendly community.
