The Winter Lights are back 🌟

In Asheville, one annual event kicks off the holiday season, and that event is here. The North Carolina Arboretum Winter Lights opens today and runs until Dec. 31 from 6 – 10 p.m. nightly. With more than half a million glowing lights in dozens of trees and landscapes, the event includes a 50-foot animated tree + a lighted quilt garden, plus new “fire and ice” displays. With kids programming and treats for parents like wine and beer (along with hot cocoa, s’mores, and more), it’s the ultimate way to kick off the festive season. 🎄

Winter Lights is a homegrown event, and tickets are discounted every Tuesday (except Christmas) + during a discount week November 26 – 29 in order to celebrate the local community. 👏

💸$18 adults ($16 for Arboretum members), $12 child ($10 for Arboretum members)*

🏠Every Tuesday and November 26 – 29, tickets are $15 for adults + $10 for children.

In addition to the official Winter Lights, the Arboretum is spreading the festivity with the City of Asheville’s holiday light display which will light up the city. Saturday, a ceremony will kick off Local Lights at Pack Square Park at 6 p.m. Then, be on the lookout for displays at Pritchard Park + Biltmore Village.

Winter Lights display tickets are on sale now and are date-specific and include 3 different time slots (6, 7 + 8 p.m.). Tickets do sell out, especially during the weekends and holidays. Learn more + book your ticket here.
