Asheville Pride is back and prouder than ever. Throughout June, WNC will be rocking rainbows and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. If you want to keep up with all the Pride around the Land of Sky this month, we’ve got the rundown on everything you need to know.

Note: This year’s Blue Ridge Pride Festival, which traditionally takes place at Pack Square Park in autumn, is slated for Sat., Sept. 24.

Youth Queer Prom | Thurs., June 9 | 7-10:30 p.m. | Location sent with ticket purchase | $25 | LGBTQ+ youth ages 14-20 are invited to join Youth OUTright in this “Enter the Enchanted Forest”-themed evening of dancing, drag performances, interactive installations, crafts, and Thai-inspired street food from Bun Intended.

Generation Plus LGBTQ+ 55+ Summer Picnic | Sat., June 18 | 1-3 p.m. | Carrier Park, 220 Amboy Rd. | Free | Sign up online (and bring your favorite side dish) to participate in this community potluck.

Dine With Divas | Thurs., June 23 | 7-9 p.m. | Highland Brewing | $15+ | Raise money for the Beloved Asheville Food Access Program while attending a spectacular burlesque + comedy performance that features some of WNC’s finest drag queens.

Smash the Cistem | Sat., June 25 | 3-7 p.m. | The Odditorium, 1045 Haywood Rd. | $1 per hit | Celebrate the spirit of Stonewall (and raise money for Tranzmission) by smashing cars destined for the junkyard — and stick around afterwards for a drag and burlesque show.

Stonewall Dance Party | Sat., June 25 | 9 p.m.-2 a.m. | O.Henry’s Asheville, 237 Haywood St. | Free | NC’s longest-running gay bar hosts a dance party in recognition of the Stonewall Riots anniversary, featuring performances, swag, raffles, and an auction.

Appalachian Pride Brunch | Sun., June 26 | 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. | Smoky Park Supper Club, 350 Riverside Dr. | $125 | This seated brunch includes a cocktail hour, drag performances, and a four course meal prepared by local LGBTQ+ chefs.
