How small businesses can apply for $765,000+ in Hurricane Helene recovery grants

Explore Asheville is now accepting applications for its Always Asheville fund, a series of microgrants between $5,000-$10,000 (totaling $765,000 and counting) to help local businesses recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene.

Who’s eligible?

Small, independent businesses that:

  • Have two to 100 employees (including owners actively working in the business)
  • Began operating before July 1, 2024
  • Offer direct visitor experiences (lodging excluded)
  • Can demonstrate the impact of the hurricane (like business interruption, physical damage, or loss of equipment or inventory)
  • Are located in Buncombe County
  • Have a clear reopening plan and detailed grant fund use
