Carolina Day School class of 2018 | Provided by CDS

This post was created in partnership with Carolina Day School.

The school year is officially here, which means that the dog days of summer are winding down.

However, it also means that thousands of local students have headed off to college for the first time. For the 40 members of the Carolina Day School Class of 2018, that means they’re heading off to 32 different colleges + universities, ranging from American University to Chapel Hill and all the way to Duke Kunshan in China.

In fact, in the last 5 years, CDS students have been accepted to 322 different schools including Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, and Yale, as well as local schools in Asheville and North Carolina (Warren Wilson, Chapel Hill, N.C. State among them). More than $4 million dollars is offered in scholarships to CDS graduates each year.

Congrats to all Asheville students who graduated this year, and good luck on your future endeavors. We’re rooting for you.
