Help us out with this monumental question — who would you put on a Mount Rushmore of Asheville?

We have some initial thoughts, like Gov’t Mule vocalist and Allman Brothers Band member Warren Haynes and “High Priestess of Soul” Nina Simone, who attended school here. Your suggestions should have strong Asheville roots — either born and raised or transplants.

Add your recommendations by filling out this survey. Nominations will be open until Wednesday, Sept. 13, then top names will be submitted into a poll for you to decide who will make the cut. We’ll chisel down the results until they’re set in stone.
