Next weekend, May 26-28, GrindFest returns for the third year. The three-day event, presented by Black Wall Street and Grind AVL, highlights the success of Black Wall Street, a local incubator created to grow, support, and expand Black business in Asheville.

GrindFest takes place in the River Arts District in Black Wall Street’s headquarters and surrounding area with a series of free and ticketed events. Here’s a glimpse of what you can do:

See a screening of the “Black in Asheville” documentary, exploring the Black experience of Asheville, from the Antebellum period to the Civil War to modern-day.

Take part in family-friendly fun with carnival rides, line dancing, and a magic foam experience.

Plus, on Saturday night, hip hop stars Big Boi, Waka Flocka Flame, and Talib Kweli will take the stage at Salvage Station. Purchase tickets for the concert.
