Asheville Comedy Festival submissions now open

Submissions for stand-up comics are now open for the 12th annual Asheville Comedy Festival, presented by Laugh Your Asheville Off and happening August 9 – 11. The festival is a nationally-recognized, non-competitive event that takes place at the Diana Wortham Theatre and a few other venues each summer.

Want to throw your hat in the ring? 🤡 Here’s what you need to know:

  • The submission period runs through May 20.

  • Each submission costs $25.

  • The application asks for a bio, headshot, website, and a 7–10 minute unedited video.

Money from submissions goes to bringing in industry professionals, including booking agents, talent scouts, and television executives, to attend the festival and watch the performances. Could it be your big break?
