New brewery alert: Eurisko Beer Co.

Eurisko Beer Co

By @EatDrinkCarolinas

Eurisko Beer Co opened on Friday in Asheville’s ever-expanding downtown-ish district with a packed house at the upstairs taproom in the former barbershop on Short Coxe Ave.

Brewers Zack Harris and Zack Mason killed it with an especially refreshing 5.1% saison they call Mairzy Doats (Mares Eat Oats) and plan to specialize in clean Old World style beer, which is poured around Asheville as well as at the brew-house.

The 15-barrel brewery has a neat campus with outdoor and indoor space aplenty (for a small specialty operation) and taproom hours Wednesday-Sunday each week. For the opening, The American Pig was on hand slicing four types of salami and coppa piled alongside pickled squash, onions and cukes, making one heck of a snack.

Get off the beaten path in AVL and check out Eurisko. Zack 1 and Zack 2 will happily tell you all about their legit passion project turned day job.
