It’s the holiday season. And while you’re hanging decorations, buying presents, and feeling festive, a few local bars are getting into the spirit too. This year, Santa has gifted Asheville with three holiday pop-up bars where you can drink and be merry.
Miracle at The Golden Pineapple, 503 Haywood Rd. | Friday, Nov. 24-Sunday, Dec. 31
The bar will be closed through this Thursday, Nov. 23 to hang the garland, string the lights, and transform into a winter wonderland. If you like the sweet stuff, you’ll love Miracle’s Marshmallows & Unicorns cocktail with gin, vanilla liqueur, velvet falernum, cherry liqueur, cardamom, black pepper, marshmallow, lemon, egg white, tiki bitters, and soda.
Rudolph’s Rooftop at Pillar Rooftop Bar, 309 College St., 6th Floor | Friday, Nov. 24-Sunday, Dec. 31
Enjoy the festive decor and ring in the holiday season with themed cocktails, beer, and wine. Be sure to dress the part for the ugly sweater parties on Thursdays, or bring your dancing shoes for live music on the weekends.
Sippin’ Santa at The Tiki Easy Bar, 197 Hilliard Ave. | Monday, Nov. 20-Sunday, Dec. 31
This bar opened in July, serving up tropical cocktails and beachy vibes — but it’s now transformed into a Christmas-themed oasis. Classic holiday drinks are getting an island twist, like the Ho-Ho-Hot Buttered Rum, which includes navy-strength rum, spiced honey butter, vanilla, and passion fruit.

Hey there, Ashevillians. Grace here. Last week, I presented you with a very important and very fun task: To design my day, choose-your-own-adventure style. With great power comes great responsibility — and you all used your power well. Here are the results for a perfect day in Asheville.
Wake up and smell the...
Coffee. 52% of you all opted for me to start my morning with a caffeine boost, and I was happy to oblige. I zipped over to Ultra Coffeebar for a large cold brew. But obviously, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I ordered the Ella breakfast sandwich as well — the egg, tomato, pesto, and mozzarella sammie was a delicious diversion from my usual, the Joey.
Although the results of my “choose your own adventure” journey didn’t take me to see local art with Mountain Mural Tours, I’m still eager to join them to learn all there is to know about our city’s street art. If you are too, you’re in luck — because winter tours are available for booking.
