Autumn is just around the corner, and in addition to crisp temps and brilliant leaves, it’s bringing a slew of fabulous foodie festivals. Whether you’re a turophile , a wolfish wine drinker, an enthusiast for international fare, or a voracious vegan eater — you can eat your fill at this fall’s food-centric festivals .

Apple Festival | Fri., Sept. 2-Mon., Sept. 5

Taking place in Henderson County — NC’s largest apple-producing county — this applelicious + family-friendly event also includes arts and crafts, food, and live entertainment.

Chow Chow | Thurs., Sept. 8-Sun., Sept. 11

The third + final month of this Southern food fest features events about culinary storytelling, zero-proof cocktails, and chef Malinda Russell. See the schedule .

Greek Festival | Fri., Sept. 23-Sat., Sept. 24

Craving baklava, spanakopita, and moussaka? Chow down at this drive-thru affair presented by Asheville’s Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Can’t attend? Local delivery service KickbackAVL will be delivering its Greek specialties.

Carolina Mountain Cheese Festival | Sun., Sept. 25

Immerse yourself in a world of cheese with demos, workshops, and 20+ local food businesses. Oak and Grist and Barndoor Ciderworks will produce beverages at the event.

Asheville VeganFest | Sun., Oct. 2

Sample new food + become more health conscious at this event, which will bring a family fun zone, live music, and educational speakers to downtown’s Pack Square.

The Asheville Wine & Food Experience | Sat., Oct. 8

USA TODAY’s national touring festival series makes its Asheville debut at Salvage Station with a showcase of regional foodways, local chefs + restaurants, and makers of craft beers, wines, and other sips. Guests can also attend chef and sommelier demos and seminars.

WNC Fermenting Festival | Sun., Nov. 6th

Nosh on fermented eats from regional creators while enjoying live entertainment, craft vendors + demos on everything from sauerkraut to sourdough.
