Whether you’re a novice on the mat or an experienced yogi, our city has plenty of places to practice. Find your zen at these 20+ yoga studios around Asheville.

If you’re just getting started

Asheville Community Yoga, 8 Brookdale Rd.
Besides the Yoga for Beginners class, this studio recommends that newbies start with a class that includes “gentle” in the title, like the popular Gentle Flow class. Check out the “new to yoga” section of its website for everything you need to know to get acquainted.

Asheville Yoga Center, 211 S. Liberty St.
Take advantage of the Intro to Yoga class to learn about the basics of the practice and what style best suits you. Then leave with a coupon for any class on the weekly schedule.

Black Mountain Yoga, 116 Montreat Rd.
With a plethora of classes available to all levels of yogis, you can start your practice with a variety of styles, including Yin, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga yoga.

Burning Sage Yoga, various locations
Instructors are offering two weekly classes for all levels — the Yoga for Everyone community class + a seasonal Flow. Check the calendar for dates and times.

Enroll in a six-week series designed for beginners, or take one of the three other classes designed for all levels.

Gather your crew for a yoga hike, featuring a two-mile round-trip mountain hike with an hour of yoga at the summit. Or try out the ridiculously cute goat yoga classes to make some snuggly new friends.

Yoga in the Park Asheville, 198 Vermont Ave.
The outdoor classes have moved from Carrier Park to West Asheville Park due to damage from Helene.

Kidding Around Asheville, Various locations
Don’t be surprised if you feel a goat climb on your back as you hit child’s pose. The Saturday morning classes are held at RAD Brewing Co. and include a complimentary brew for your post-practice hang.
