Do you hear that? It’s laughter erupting from audiences witnessing the talented comics of Asheville’s stand-up comedy scene. Whether you want to get up on stage and share your jokes or sit back and enjoy a full belly laugh, we’ve got you covered with a guide to local comedy.

Modelface Comedy | Various locations
One of the biggest forces in the Asheville comedy scene, Modelface has a chock-full calendar of events — plus, they host recurring series like Freshen Up Open Mic at Noble, Comedy at Catawba, and Don’t Tell Comedy.

Slice of Life Comedy | Various locations
From open mics to feature comics, shows are hosted at Pulp Lounge, plēb urban winery, and Asheville Pizza and Brewing Co.

Still looking for more stand-up? You’re in luck. The 15th annual Asheville Comedy Festival returns Aug. 9-12. Each night at 8 p.m., a group of comedians will take the stage at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts for the famous showcases. Secret late shows with unreleased lineups will begin at 9:30 p.m. at DSSOLVR and Catawba Brewing’s + Urban Orchard’s South Slope locations. Find tickets for individual shows or a Cosmo Pass for access to everything.
