Romeo’s Vegan Burgers is preparing to open at 640 Merrimon Ave., Ste. 203. The burger biz already has popular locations in Charlotte and Greensboro but will start slinging its plant-based patties in Asheville, with a tentative opening date of Monday, June 17. Now you’re probably wondering what’s on the menu. Let’s dig in.

The made-to-order smash burgers are crafted with Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods products, Follow Your Heart cheese, and homemade vegan sauces. We have our eye on the Tobacco Road Burger, piled with coleslaw, vegan chili, onions, and pickles. Or, you can opt for a vegan buffalo chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets — whatever you choose, we bet it’ll pair well with the tater tots or chili cheese fries.

To top it all off, you can end your meal on a sweet note with one of the burger joint’s shakes made with soy ice cream. Are you drooling yet?
