October has been designated NC Beer Month in North Carolina

Gov. Roy Cooper has signed a proclamation officially designating October 2021 as NC Beer Month.

Beginning with the state’s first brewery in 1986 (Weeping Radish in Grandy), NC’s independent craft beer industry has grown to over 300 breweriesover 60 of which are in the Asheville area alone. Known as “The State of Southern Beer,” NC ranks as one of the nation’s top 10 craft suds states + contributes more than $2.7 billion to its economy — supporting 18,000+ jobs.

Ready to celebrate? As drinkers explore local breweries + honor this hoppy month they also have the opportunity to participate in the NC Beer Month Passport Sweepstakesand 2 lucky winners will be selected to win a rad prize.
