The Asheville Tourists are stepping up to the plate this week

Grab your tickets and check out the roster for the minor league baseball team’s opening day on Friday.

Fans sit in the foreground watching an Asheville Tourists came at sunset at McCormick Field.

The team is ready to hit it out of the park.

We’re taking you out to the ballgame. This Friday, April 5, McCormick Field will turn on the floodlights and get the concessions cooking for the Asheville Tourists’ opening day. The Tourists will swing for the fences against the Winston-Salem Dash to kick off the 2024 season.

This season’s roster includes six of the top 30 prospects for the Houston Astros (of which the Tourists are the High-A affliate): Luis Baez, Brice Matthews, Jake Bloss, Andrew Taylor, Trey Dombrowski, and Cam Fisher. If you want to know who else will be up to bat, check out the full opening day roster.

If you’re the type of fan who’s more focused on the experience than on the game (no judgment), then cheer for Dollar Dog Friday and a post-game fireworks show.

Grab your tickets for the opening day game, or select your seats for the full season.
