Indie music and film come together for the Mythic Monsters Music Video Showcase

See how songs from local musicians come to life.

A crowd of people gathered standing in front of a large screen to view a film. String lights are hanging in the space.

Gather ‘round to see the worlds of music and film collide.

These videos will strike a chord. Mythic Merch, Cat Fly Indie Film, and GodzDog Films are collaborating for the Mythic Monsters Music Video Showcase, a live screening of Asheville-area music videos. See the creative visuals that directors have dreamed up to accompany songs from local artists Rhinestone Pickup Truck, The Half that Matters, Small Doses, Machine 13, MoKindred, and Ross Hollow. The free event kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 at DSSOLVR.

If this cinema chatter has you wanting more of the silver screen, mark your calendar for the seventh Cat Fly Indie Film Fest on Thursday, May 23 through Sunday, May 26. Filmmakers from across the Southeast will come together to celebrate their craft and showcase creative, regional short + feature films. Interested in submitting your film to the fest? The early bird deadline is coming up on Friday, Feb. 23, but check out Cat Fly’s website for more info on the regular and extended deadlines.
