To celebrate back-to-school + the quickly approaching September, we’re revisiting staycation: Asheville style with the Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association as our virtual guides. DYK: If all the hotel construction is on schedule, Asheville will have a room count of 9,400 in 2019, up 41 percent from 2015? And, with thousands of Airbnbs locally, there’s no lack of where to stay when vacationing or staycationing in the Asheville area. But, the OG alternative is the B&B.

Thirteen current properties are part of the association, located throughout the city and countryside, and run the gamut from stately Southern mansions to romantic Victorian inns to a lodge with sweeping mountain vistas, so there’s something for everyone. And, regardless of which inn you choose, you’ll be will be warmly greeted by the innkeepers upon arrival (we’re looking at you, Lorelai Gilmore👋). Some B&Bs host social hour where you can mingle with other guests or ask the innkeeper for favorite insider tips near their location.🥂

Bonus: Locals get 10% off midweek rates (Mon.-Thur.) for folks residing in any of our representative zip codes. Isn’t is time for your staycation? Check out all 13 B&Bs, including their history, pro-tips, facts + more straight from Diane Rogers, co-owner of Pinecrest Bed & Breakfast + member of the Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association.

The inns of the Association put the breakfast in B&B! Each morning our inns delight their guests with a fabulous multi-course breakfast included in the price of your stay. No lines or decisions need to be made; just arrive at the breakfast table prepared to be wowed. Many inns also cater to special dietary needs such as gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan so no guest leaves disappointed. Breakfast is so important to our innkeepers that we have even assembled our favorite recipes into a cookbook Morning in the Mountains. It’s available for sale at all of our inns, online at our website, or Malaprop’s Book Store. Shop local!

We welcome those in our community to book with us by offering 10% off midweek rates (Mon.-Thurs.) for folks residing in any of our representative zip codes. Isn’t is time for your staycation?
