Asheville grieves the loss of a community leader

Tyler Garrison

One of Asheville’s community leaders, Tyler Garrison, died early Sunday morning after a motorcycle accident while he was out of state.

Tyler founded Junk Recyclers, which provides environmentally-friendly junk removal. The company prides itself on using biodiesel, using the fastest routes between sites, and reusing or recycling 80% of items picked up.

Tyler then started reselling many of those items, which grew into the Regeneration Station, now located in a spacious facility on Simpson St. between Biltmore Village + East Asheville. An avid motorcycle lover, he also ran a third business, Garage TRS, which sold used motorcycles, at the Regeneration Station.

An entrepreneurial success story, Tyler began Junk Recyclers with only a truck and a 10 x 10 storage unit.

We’re so thankful for all of the work Tyler did for our community, and for all of the ways he gave back.
