To help Ashevillians stay in the game this season, AdventHealth Sports Medicine Physician Dr. Craig Burnworth shared a few injury prevention tips that can be applied to every activity:

Q: How can we reduce injury risk?

Burnworth: Increase intensity gradually, take time to warm up and stretch, hydrate well, prioritize recovery, and always listen to your body.

Q: When should you see a physician?

Burnworth: If pain doesn’t improve with rest, ice, and activity modification after a few days, it’s wise to make an appointment.
